Nicholas F. Van Valen was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1994. Nicholas graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Victoria, in British Columbia, Canada . In 1989 Nicholas also graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Simon Fraser University, also in British Columbia. In 1993 he graduated with a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law, in Hamden, Connecticut. In addition to being admitted to practice law in Florida, he is member, inactive status, of the State Bar of Georgia.
Nicholas has over 17 years of experience as an attorney, and has been lead or co-counsel in over 50 jury trials in state and federal courts. He has been employed as staff counsel for major insurance companies, and has spent many years employed by law firms which were dedicated to the defense of personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits. Nicholas now represents the injured, and using his experience, practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, defective products, premises liability, and negligent security.
Nicholas is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.
